Dr. Alexandros Kallifatidis Radiologist, MD, PhD, EBCR, FEACVI Thessaloniki/Greece

Dr. Alexandros Kallifatidis is a Radiologist with subspecialty in Cardiovascular Imaging and a leading person in Cardiac Imaging in Greece. He is a Board Certified Cardiovascular Imaging Radiologist (European Board of Cardiovascular Radiology- EBCR), Head of Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Unit (Cardiac CT – Cardiac MRI) in St.Luke’s Hospital and an active member of “Education & EBCR Committee” of the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology - ESCR. He is a Fellow of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (FEACVI) as well as an active member of Society for Magnetic Resonance Imaging – SCMR, with a COCATS Level III for CMR (Social Media Ambassador in the past as well) and an active member of Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography – SCCT. He is a co-founder of the scientific group “Cardiac Intelligence”.

He is an active speaker in National and International Scientific Events-Congresses (ECR- ESCR- ESOR- SCMR- EMRI Erasmus Course- ICNC, Panhellenic Congress of Radiology and Cardiology etc…) and he is organising Scientific Courses in Greece, with guests speakers, experts and pioneers in the field of Cardiovascular Imaging. In 2020 he was the host organiser (moderator/speaker as well) of ASKLEPIOS ESOR Course on Cardiac MR Imaging (online edition). In 2022 he was the host organiser (moderator/speaker as well) of the Erasmus Course on MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING Cardiovascular MRI with CT correlation, that took place in Thessaloniki.
In 2021 he obtained his PhD degree in the field of Cardiovasular Imaging.
He has served as an Academic Fellow of Medical School in the University of Thessaly, Department of Radiology the last 2 years.
He is serving as a reviewer for some of the most important Journals in the field of Radiology and Cardiovascular Imaging such as European Radiology, Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine-Cardiovascular Imaging, Insights into Imaging etc…and he is a member of the Editorial Board of the Hellenic Journal of Radiology (Thoracic and Cardiovascular Imaging Section).
He is an elected Executive Committee Member and Secretary of the Radiological Society of Northern Greece and past member of the Clinical Practice Committee and Social Media Committee of SCMR.
He served as a faculty member (moderator/speaker as well) of the Global CMR Conference CMR 2024 that took place in London 25th-27th of January 2024.
