Passionate on MRI, staff development and better patient workflows, I am a diagnostic radiographer with over 27 years of experience. Most of these years have been spent working in MRI, parts of them leading the unit within our local hospital of Mater Dei. I oversaw the unit increasing from having one magnet to three magnets and together with a number of other professionals introduced many new MRI services. The positive impact of this is very much tangible where patients are now provided with many scans covering many different body parts including also cardiac scans and breast biopsies. I am now responsible for staff development within our medical imaging department covering not only the MRI unit but radiographic staff development across all modalities. My interests are anything clinical MRI, staff development, training and support, clinical workflows, person centred care, and AI. I am passionate to share knowledge and learn from experts in the field and I am always trying to keep work as stimulating as possible. I also assist the University of Malta in scanning research volunteers for any research studies being undertaken.
